Last Day of Gymboree

Have you ever wondered exactly what goes on at Gymboree? Well here it is, Emma's last class. She has been going since she was about 10 months old. She has really gotten a lot out if it over the past few years. It taught her to be patient and wait her turn and how to play with other kids. It was also great for her motor skills and agility. I really have enjoyed our time in class but now its on to ballet and Ethan will get Gymbo next summer.

When we first arrive we take off our shoes and play for a little until class starts.

We then sing a song about coming to Gymboree and do the Shape Boogie Dance.

For this class all of the kids stood on a shape and we moved like different animals. Emma picked the Elephant and we all moved like elephants.

Then my helpful little lady helped Ms. Kelly clean up.

Ethan and Grandma Jean came to watch.

Oh no an elephant squirted water on Emma's head.

Then its bubble time. On this day they caught the bubbles in little cups.

The chaos that is Gymboree

Then we shake the bubbles...

Finally the kiddos go under the parachute while the adults lift it above them.

Now ordinarlly in every other level that would be the end. Emma is in the big kid class now so what they do is hop on the train, Emma got to be the leader this time, and drop the grown ups off at the entrance.

The kids go back for a snack and a few stories.

Then they all hide and we get to find them. I wonder where Emma hid?

Then it is time to boogie down some more. Doesn't she have some sweet moves?

No Gymboree class would be complete without a hug from Gymbo.

Then its time to get a gymbo stamp (or 5) and then put on your shoes.

Since it was her last day I let her pick a little souviour. We went with the small giggle Gymbo. She cuddled him all the way home. See all clowns are not scary.
That's it. Now you know what Gymboree is all about. Don't you want to go? I know we will miss it and our friends but its time for something new. We can always go and visit.

and now for the "Poor Ethan" moment of the week. Big sister Emma thought that wearing a crown was so fun that Ethan should give it a try. I am sure he will love this picture when he is about 14 or so.

Everybody now.....Poor Ethan!
