Happy Half Birthday

Guess who celebrated their half birthday today?

"Um, was it Manny?"

No, of course not it was Ethan!

Emma:Oh, did you hear that? Oh, no that was my food making that noise.

New Baby, New Puppy, and a Party.

Another busy weekend is coming to a quick end. I am trying to get started on Emma's birthday party which is less than a month away. For anyone's planning purposes it will be Saturday, November 15th and 2pm and beyond. She is requesting a Tinkerbell party so I tried to get her picture in her Halloween costume. I'm not really in love with any of the shots I got but I think this one is cute:
Our friends had a busy week too. Rob and Emily had their little lady, Anna Grace on Tuesday. I haven't gotten a chance to see her yet but I am sure she is gorgeous. (Congrats guys!)

Chuckie and Christine had a little cutie on Wednesday. I am totally jealous that Christine gets to have little 6 lbs babies. Why I am blessed with monster babies I guess I will never know. Coral Lee is quite the cutie for sure. Josh, Emma, Ethan, and I brought the new mommy and daddy dinner on Saturday night. She is such a cutie and sleeps a lot!
Emma was having a ball at their house. Christine collects giraffes, which Emma loved counting. She demanded that I take her picture with this giraffe. You would think she would smile.

Ethan had a big weekend, well furniture wise. Josh brought the high chair up from the basement. He looks like such a little peanut in it.
Sunday was Chloe's 5th birthday party. It was at Let's Dance in West Warwick. Emma had a blast! I do not have a shy girl at all. She gets right in with all the older kids and did a great job listening to the dance teachers and taking turns. I think all that Gymboree and now "Ballet School" is totally paying off.

Now finally, for the new puppy. We are not sure what Lauren and Chris are thinking (or maybe they are not thinking) but they got an adorable new Weimaraner puppy, Indiana, Indy for short. They already have a one year old Border Collie. Indy sure is cute though!

How 'bout them Sox?

Yeah, I'm a terrible fan. I went to bed Thursday night with them losing 7-0 and thought it was all over. Imagine my surprise when I woke up Friday morning and Josh said, Let's check out the damage," and checked the score. They FREAKIN' Won!

So Red Sox, I'm sorry I lost faith in you and went to bed. In my defense I do work and have a little one that barely sleeps so I sleep when I can get it.

A Pumpkin Patch....or three.

We are really enjoying our three day weekend here. We actually went to three pumkin patches yesterday but more on that later.


Ethan popped his second tooth this week. He looks so cute with those two little teeth on the bottom. We had to take the little man to the doctor this week. He woke up Thursday morning around 4 am on fire. I took his temp and it was 102.2. I thought it might be from teething but that is really high.

We took him in just to check his ears and stuff. The doctor said Ethan's ears looked clear but he had a little sore throat. We haven't seen any more symptoms since so that's good.

I have to be tricky to take any pics of Emma lately. Here is one I was able to catch. Please ignore the snack that is all over her face.
Sunday was such a beautiful day here. Josh and I always go to the Scituate Art Festival every year. We haven't missed once since we started dating in 1997. It is always Columbus Day weekend. We used to bring Bailey with us but now its the babies. We began our day there. My stroller gets so much attention it is funny. Ethan was riding in the bottom seat and Emma was in the top one. When ever we walk by people we can hear them talking about the stroller. People also stop and ask us about it. If you want attention pick up at Phil and Ted's.

Now for the three pumpkin patches. Last October we went to Confreda's with Lauren. We had a blast there and desided to stop by there after the festival. It was NUTS there. Cars were parked down the street and the line for the hayride was super long. We didn't even get out of the car.

Next we went to J&D Farm. They had a lot of activities for kids. Emma was dying to get her picture taking "peeking through those holes."

She also loved the big sand box. Who's says girls in skirts can't work the front end loader?

"Hi, baby cow!"

The highlight of this farm was the cow train ride. Emma would not ride alone so lucky me, I got to climb in one of those cows. Our cow's name was Jelly Bean, which Emma thought was hilarious. We went around like 800 times. It was pulled by a small tractor and I thought it would never end. Emma did love it though. She was singing songs to me and giggling the whole time. I am sure she will be talking about it for a while now.

When we were on the hayride at J&D we noticed that there was no pumpkin patch. We were not going to buy pumpkins there because those pumpkins must have been trucked in. That is just silly so we went to farm number three of the day, Morris Farm. Morris Farm is right around the corner from our house and that is where we got Emma's first pumpkin in 2006.

Today is Monday and it is 10:30 am. Emma do is STILL sleeping. We went over to our neighbor's house to watch the Pat's game last night (I don't even want to talk about how terrible that game was. I miss you Tom.) She ran around like a crazy girl with her boys so she must be catching up today.

Ethan's first tooth finally broke through today, Friday, October 3rd. I think today is my Aunt Denise's birthday too (or if not it's pretty darn close...so HAPPY BIRTHDAY Aunt Dop-E-Nop-I-Sop-E). Ethan's tooth was long awaited and now we only have about another 19 left to go until he catches up with Emma. Who needs sleep anyway? Not this mommy!


We haven't had a "Poor Ethan" moment for a while so here is a fresh one for ya. Emma wanted to take Ethan "shopping" in our playroom the other day. It went something like this:

Emma: Mommy, Ethan wants to go shopping with me.

Mommy: Oh, he does?

Emma: Yup. Now put him in the back were big girls sit. I'll be REEEEEEAL careful.
