Ethan funny

The background: Today we went over a friend's house to let in a repair man for her. Ethan stood watching the man work on the fridge. The following conversation happened in the car on the way home.

Mommy: Ethan did you help the man fix the fridge?

Ethan: No, I didn't have my hammer.

Some things that we have been up to...

Since the last thing I posted about was Christmas that's where I'll begin again. We had our annual Christmas gift kid exchange at the Morse house again. It also needed to be rescheduled again because of snow. At least we are consistent. :) Emma and Sam really enjoy eachother's company. I hope they always stay this way. They are really cute together.
Bubba and Andrea welcomed Rachel into the world at the end of January.
This is a random one of Emma writing out her first Christmas cards ever!
In February Josh and I took a little trip down to DC for a few days as our birthday present.

Julia Child's kitchen:

It was so cold that you could stand on the reflecting pool. It was frozen solid!

At least you are caught up to February now. heheheheeh

If it makes you feel any better...

I haven't written the thank yous for Emma's birthday yet. Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this blog but life is happening and I don't want to miss it.

We had a very merry Christmas this year. This was my favorite one yet because of Emma. She is attending Catholic school this year and has been really into Christmas this year. She knew it was coming and was anticipating the most.

We spent Christmas Eve at Nanny and Grampy's house. The house felt so much bigger this year with the renovations they have made and the kids really had fun too.

I wonder if this company needs a model?

Pile of Cousins
Christmas Eve came to an end with loads of excited giggles and happy faces. We couldn't wait to see what Santa was bringing for us in the morning. We got ready for Santa and said our goodbyes to China. With a kiss...

and a hug. We tired our hardest to fall asleep.

Santa Came!

Emma and Ethan were so excited to see what was in the living room. Josh put it best when he said, "Imagine you are Ethan. He had no idea this was coming up and he just wakes up one morning to a ton of cool toy in your house."

We had a morning of opening gifts, I believe we counted three rounds. Emma even asked me at one point if I would open her gifts so she could play with her Barbie house and I could just tell her what she got.
The Retelle's House
We were spoiled again over at my grandparent's house. Everything that we got was just so perfect. I spent two hours Christmas night and another hour or so the next morning going through everything. We are so lucky to have such thoughtful family and friends.

I'll leave you with a little diva. Thanks for the singing skirt Auntie Sue!
