If it makes you feel any better...

I haven't written the thank yous for Emma's birthday yet. Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this blog but life is happening and I don't want to miss it.

We had a very merry Christmas this year. This was my favorite one yet because of Emma. She is attending Catholic school this year and has been really into Christmas this year. She knew it was coming and was anticipating the most.

We spent Christmas Eve at Nanny and Grampy's house. The house felt so much bigger this year with the renovations they have made and the kids really had fun too.

I wonder if this company needs a model?

Pile of Cousins
Christmas Eve came to an end with loads of excited giggles and happy faces. We couldn't wait to see what Santa was bringing for us in the morning. We got ready for Santa and said our goodbyes to China. With a kiss...

and a hug. We tired our hardest to fall asleep.

Santa Came!

Emma and Ethan were so excited to see what was in the living room. Josh put it best when he said, "Imagine you are Ethan. He had no idea this was coming up and he just wakes up one morning to a ton of cool toy in your house."

We had a morning of opening gifts, I believe we counted three rounds. Emma even asked me at one point if I would open her gifts so she could play with her Barbie house and I could just tell her what she got.
The Retelle's House
We were spoiled again over at my grandparent's house. Everything that we got was just so perfect. I spent two hours Christmas night and another hour or so the next morning going through everything. We are so lucky to have such thoughtful family and friends.

I'll leave you with a little diva. Thanks for the singing skirt Auntie Sue!

Emma is 4!

Emma's fourth birthday was inspired by our favorite story character, Fancy Nancy. Nancy likes everyone fancy just like a certain little girl that I know.

This is what our living room looked like:

My sister put together this Fancy Chair for the birthday girl to open gifts in:

Blogger is giving me attitude right now. I will try to finish this party post someday soon.

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by. I know it's been a while but the end of the summer is usually like that, isn't it?

We are all officially back to school and Emma is loving it! Here are a few pics from her first day.

I love how excited she looks in this one at the school:

Emma's first day was Wednesday, September 2nd. She made herself right at home and got right to work. We left and I cried like a crazy woman as soon as I was out the door. How is she in school already? Babies grow way too fast! She gets up every morning ready to go. I know this is only day 4 but, so far so good.

This Monday we had a hang around the house day. We haven't had one in ages and it was nice to get some things down around the house. The pool is closed so now summer is offically over. I am sad but glad to be back in my school routine too. Here are some more pics from our lazy day:

Emma must have gone inside for something.

I really like this picture of them. Once I get photoshop back I'll fix the crop and you'll love it!

Come back again soon, I'll try to beat you back!
